Education Case Study
Ghyllside Primary School in Kendal accommodates 475 pupils.
After a renewable energy audit was carried out at the school it was suggested that a biomass boiler would be of benefit financially as well as improving the schools carbon footprint.
The biomass boiler provides heat to the classrooms and hot water to the kitchen.
The environmental aspect of the biomass boiler was a prime consideration for the school and very much in keeping with their ethos on renewable energy and educating the pupils on looking after our planet for future generations.
Barden Biomass has been looking after the servicing & maintenance of the Herz 150kW Firematic woodchip biomass boiler since its installation in March 2013.
We work closely with the caretaker and headmaster to ensure that the boiler is consistently running to its full potential.
The professionalism and reliability of the servicing and maintenance was an important consideration in the decision of Ghyllside when it came to committing to a contract.
